KUD Koreni was founded in Ottawa in 2026 with a simple vision: to create a welcoming, open, and sustainable Serbian folklore organization where culture, community, and tradition can thrive.
Our name translates to "roots" because the core of our group is our shared commitment to preserving the rich traditions of Serbian folklore while providing opportunities for people of all ages to learn, perform, and celebrate together.
Our organization believes that culture is best preserved when it is shared. Through dance, music, and community engagement, we aim to connect generations and inspire pride in our heritage.

Our Izvođačka group represents the highest level of dedication and artistry within our ensemble. Through polished performances, advanced choreography, and a commitment to preserving Serbian folk traditions, these dancers bring the beauty, skill, and spirit of kolo to audiences both near and far.
